Updated August 2022
Choosing whether or not to buy a season pass, and which one to get, is definitely one of the biggest decisions to make each winter.
If you’re in or around New York City, New Jersey, or Northeastern Pennsylvania, and you’re considering getting a season pass, this is the guide for you! Here are our picks for the best season pass deals in this area:

Belleayre
$389 Limited Pass (buy before August 10th)
One of our favorite deals so far for the 2022-2023 sesaon is Belleayre’s Limited Pass. For just $389, you’ll get almost unlimited access to the mountain.
The exceptions are holidays periods: 12.25.22 – 1.1.23 (Christmas through the new year), 1.14.23 – 1.16.23 (all of MLK weekend), and 2.18.23 – 2.26.23 (presidents’ weekend and the week and weekend that follow it). Considering those are often the most crowded days at the mountain, skipping them is probably for the best. Otherwise, you can ski/ride any day as much as you’d like.
Note that this price is only valid into August 10th. After that, it goes up to $449 and then $549 by December 8th.
If you are under the age of 30, you can get additional discounts. Teens and college students can get an unlimited season pass for as low as $339, 20-somethings can get it for $369, adults over 70 can get theirs for $269, kids for $239, and little kiddos 6 and under will cost just $50.

Shawnee Mountain
$425 (before Oct 1)
Shawnee Mountain has chosen to keep their season pass offerings simple for the past few years, and currently they only offer the ONE PASS.
Like in previous years, the cost of the One Pass will differ based on how early you buy it, with the best discount ending by October.
- $425 if purchased by October 1st (up from $400 last year)
- $499 if purchased by Nov 30th
- $529 at full price
Returning passholders will also get a discount if they buy again by September 30th: $399
This pass also comes with perks, including free tickets and discounts at partner results, including 3 free lift tickets to Ski Cooper, a ski resort in Colorado.
Shawnee Mountain is also part of the Indy Pass. For an additional $189, you can purchase this pass add-on to get access to over 50 other resorts across the US for two days each.
A new offering this year is the student club pass. Details have not yet been announced, but students who are associated with a ski club or school group will be able to get a student pass that operates similar to previous years’ twilight pass, offering access midweek and after 3 p.m. on weekend (presumably at a discounted rate)
Montage Mountain
Montage’s season pass this year is $399 if you’re a returning passholder (and purchased by April 1st) or $499 if you’re a new passholder. It’s interesting to see that a few mountains in our area are starting to offer loyalty discounts this year.
Like Shawnee you can also add on an Indy Pass to this for just $199. More info on using the Indy Pass on the East Coast can be found here.
