Most of these deals occur as part of an annual special event, so we expect the deals to stick around, but make sure you check the mountain’s website or events calendar to confirm the date and the price before you plan your trip. These deals are so good that they probably won’t last forever… in fact, some might already be gone forever!
Shawnee Mountain’s Costume Carnival

If you live near the Poconos, make sure you head to Shawnee Mountain’s Annual Costume Carnival, which usually occurs the third Sunday in March. Lots of mountains have end-of-season parties around this time of the year, but Shawnee is unique in that guests who show up in a full costume on the day of this carnival will receive a free lift ticket for the day when they go to the ticket window.

Lincoln’s Birthday at Mountain Creek

Another free lift ticket! This one’s a little trickier though… head to Mountain Creek in New Jersey on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday (February 12th) and recite the full Gettysburg Address to receive a free lift ticket for the day.

December 12th is Founder’s Day at Mount Snow, and they like to make sure they have a crowd for this early-season party. Get your ticket online in advance, and then head on over to Vermont for a great day on the slopes. Mount Snow is known for their aggressive early-season snowmaking, so you won’t have to worry about too many bare spots on the main face either, even if it hasn’t snowed yet.

St. Patrick’s Day at Hunter Mountain

Few things in life are more fun than warm, springy, bluebird days on the mountain with your friends, and at $17 a ticket, you can get the whole crew on board for a day on the slopes followed by some drinks. Note that this specially-priced event is usually on a week day, even if St. Patrick’s Day falls on a weekend.
