Compare Adult Lift Ticket + Rental Combos in the NYC + Philly Area

Updated November 2020

If you’re someone who rents equipment, you know that the cost of a day on the slopes can add up quickly. Here’s a look at what mountains in the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan areas are charging for a standard day on the slopes with rental equipment during weekends and holidays.

mount peter 102, windham 147, thunder ridge 109, belleayre 149, mountain creek 140, camelback 126, shawnee 110, blue mountain 149, spring 85, montage 114, elk 112, big bear 112, tussey 102

As you can see, most of the mountains in the area are charging over $100 for adults to spend a standard, unrestricted weekend day on the slopes with rental equipment, and the larger mountains in the area tend to charge even more.

The good news is that there are many ways to save money on lift ticket prices. Check out this guide to see some of our favorite weekend deals in the area, and keep in mind that you can almost always save money on lift tickets by purchasing tickets in advance, hitting the slopes on weekdays or nights, buying a ticket with restricted hours, sticking to special discount days, or getting a season pass. Check out all of our lift ticket guides here for more info.

You can also save money on rental equipment rates by getting a season rental from either the mountain or a local ski or snowboard shop (usually worth it if you would rent more than three times a season) or purchasing your own equipment (if you are certain that you will be skiing or snowboarding 20 days or more over the next 10 years). Check your local shop, your favorite online retailer, or our Top Deal Blog for the best deals on gear.
