It’s time for a Black Friday roundup!
Giro Helmets at Scheels!
For just $39.99, adults can get the Scale helmet and kids can get the Spur Free Ride helmet. The adult helmet comes in black, gray, and white and normally costs $80. The kids helmet would normally cost $65 and is available in black and berry. These are simple helmets, but they are from a reputable ski/snowboard brand and they will certainly do the trick to keep your head safe out on the slopes. Since many resorts are renting helmets at $10-15 per day, it pays to get one of these if you plan on hitting the slopes more than 4 times.

Various Gift Cards!
One of my favorite deals is back AGAIN! Head to the Montage Mountain online shop and purchase some Black Friday gift cards. For every $50 gift card you buy, you will get $10 extra added. This means you would be paying $50 for a $60 gift card or $100 for a $120 gift card. You can then use the gift card any time. To find this deal, select “lift tickets” on their online shop and then choose “black friday sale.” From there, choose the last option (pictured below) and add a quantity to your cart.
| BLACK FRIDAY $50 + GET $10 FREE | USD 50.00 |
A very similar deal is available at Mount Peter: you will receive a $120 gift card when you buy a $100 gift card.
There are also gift card “bonus bucks” available at Blue Mountain this year. Available through Cyber Monday, you can get an extra $10 on $100 gift cards, $20 on $200 gift cards… and beyond.
Seven Springs
There are two deals at Seven Springs today:
(1) Super 7 Cards
Normally, these cards will get you seven lift tickets that can be used throughout the season (only one can be used per day) and cost $461 for adults and $334 for kids. For Black Friday, the prices stay the same, but if you purchase now, you will get 8 days on the slopes instead of seven. Not cheap… but not bad if you go to 7 Springs a lot but not enough to warrant purchasing a season pass ($675 for adults)
(2) White Friday Lodging Special
If you book it today, you can scoop up a two-night stay at their main lodge, plus lift tickets valid from 4 pm on your day of arrival through closing on your day of checkout for $600 (for two people in one hotel room at $300 each) or $1000 (for 4 people in one hotel room at $250 each). Weekend lift tickets for adults are normally $95 each, and Friday night adult tickets are normally $52 each, so this is like paying to ski and lodging for free. Must book your trip before 9 pm tonight.
Greek Peak
There are a few Black Friday deals at Greek Peak, including an extra 10% on gift cards (like Blue Mountain above), plus 4-packs of lift tickets for $250. (Compare to other multi-visit ticket deals here)
Our favorite deal, however, is the $135 beginner package. This package includes three days on the snow at just $45 each, with rentals and lesson(s) included! The only drawback is that the lift tickets are for the beginner area only, but many people new to skiing/snowboarding will be happy to stay in that area for their first few visits anyway, and this will ensure they have time to hone their skills (at a great price!) before heading up to the top of the mountain.

Maine Four-Day Limited
For just $299 you can get 4 lift tickets to use at Sugarloaf and/or Sunday River in Maine this season. Valid any day (except holidays: December 27, 2021-January 1, 2022; January 15-16, 2022; February 19-21 & 26, 2022), the limited Maine 4-day ticket comes to just $75 a day at two quality slopes in Maine. This is a great deal if you plan on hitting up either of these mountains on a weekend January through March, where lift tickets normally cost $100+ each.
And that’s a wrap! There are a lot more Black Friday deals in the ski/snowboard industry now than there were a few years ago. Let me know if I’ve missed anything good!
